Visiting Sonoma
Healdsburg is the natural base for Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley. Sonoma town anchors the southern part of the county. Distances are larger than in Napa; many estates remain appointment-only, but the small-town feel is less manicured than across the Mayacamas.
